Do you want an Avaya VoIP phone? If so the Avaya 9608 phone phone is for you.
These are used phones and may have some fading of buttons and normal wear on them.
This phone needs a compatible Avaya phone system to connect to. This is a VoIP phone or a network phone. That means it can be located onsite via your network or at an offsite location connected via your network and the internet. See more below.
The phones have been defaulted and on my IP Office 500V2 7.0(36) processor by first pressing the * to program or the mute button first then using the code craft# (27238#). The phones are functional and are thoroughly cleaned and will come with a new curly cord and the stand.
It will be cleaned to shiny and tested and will come with the stand and a NEW curly cord.
No Ethernet cables or Power Supplies are included.
It will come with a 30 day warranty.

The Avaya IP Office is a newer system that is still in production and requires a PC and Administrative tools to do the programming and requires programming for functionality. The Avaya IP Office is very feature rich and is expandable up to 384 phones and can also connect up to 1,000 users over 32 locations. The Avaya IP Office is a hybrid system of old and new technologies. It can support traditional analog phone lines, PRI/T1 phone lines or VoIP/SIP Trunk phone lines. It can also support analog or supported/compatible digital and network on or offsite VoIP/Internet phones. Because the IP Office can support offsite phones it provides an option for end-users/employees to take advantage of teleworking or telecommuting or the option to work from home if needs be.

What are the system requirements on the Avaya IP Office for an Avaya compatible VoIP Phone?
On the IP Office 500 systems from release 6.0 – 9.1 the system requirements are to have an available VCM channel and to have an IP Endpoint. For every Avaya compatible VoIP phone on the IP Office 500 system release 6.0 – 9.1 an IP Endpoint is consumed.
The lowest cost way to get both VCM Channels and IP Endpoints on IP Office 500 release 6.0 – 9.1 is to buy an IP Office 500 VCM Version 1 base card that comes with VCM channels and 12 virtual IP Endpoints (Version 2 IP Office VCM base cards do not come with IP Endpoints so be careful!). There is a limit of 2 IP Office 500 VCM base cards per IP Office 500 Processor.
For Avaya IP Office 500 processors release 6.0 – 9.0 there are also base cards that are not VCM base cards that provide VCM Channels and Virtual IP Endpoints. Telephone Man of America sells 2 of these. One has 8 VCM Channels and 24 Virtual IP Endpoints and the other has 24 VCM Channels and 72 Virtual IP Endpoints.

How do Avaya compatible VoIP phones get power?
Avaya VoIP Phones will to connect to a Switch (not included in this listing) with individual power supplies (not included in this listing) or the Avaya compatible VoIP Phones will need to connect to a Power over Ethernet (POE) Switch (not included in this listing). The switch or PoE switch will then connect to the Avaya IP Office 500 Processor via the LAN or WAN ports that are located in the back of the Avaya IP Office 500 Processor.

The Avaya 9608 Global IP phone is a full-featured IP desk phone that provides 24 programmable line and feature buttons. It is the perfect choice for everyday office workers like salespeople, executives, and operators.
Avaya has transitioned the 9600 series IP telephones to a global form factor. Global phones have the English language text removed from the faceplate and use icons to communicate button functions and fixed features such as message, menu, headset, mute, and speaker. The global form factor is the currently manufactured model.
